The Heart Behind
The Heart Behind Gems by Hoda
Gems by Hoda is more than just a jewelry brand, it’s a deeply personal journey of self-expression, imperfection, and quiet elegance.
My story with jewelry began in 2008. Back then, my designs were made with the simplest materials: glass, plastic, and base metals. But over time, I realized that the essence of my designs deserved more. They carried meaning, too much meaning to be framed by materials that didn’t match their spirit. That’s when I shifted to silver and semi-precious gemstones.
In 2013/2014, I took a transformative course in Organic Wax Shaping at Azza Fahmy Foundation - مؤسسة عزة فهمى , The course was tutored by Mr. Bernhard Stimpfl-Abele
It opened up a new world of craftsmanship and technique.
Then life called me to pause, to build my family, to give space to motherhood.
But in 2023, the calling became too strong to ignore. It was time to return. Not just to jewelry, but to myself.
So, in 2024, I took a couple of metalsmithing sessions with Dr. Magdi Khalifa, and it was an amazing confidence boost.
And here i am.
Our Philosophy: Celebrating Imperfection
At the core of Gems by Hoda is a single idea:
Celebrate the imperfect.
Beauty isn't about perfection, not in nature, not in people, not in the things we wear. I believe true beauty is unpredictable, spontaneous, and raw, just like us.
In a world obsessed with flawless finishes and mass production, I choose to create pieces that celebrate flaws, texture, and individuality.
Every piece is handcrafted. just patience, intuition, and a deep love for every detail, even the ones that feel random or unplanned.
What Makes Us Different?
My work leans more toward fine jewelry, and I intentionally stay away from fast trends. I design intuitively, with a vintage soul and a timeless essence. Each piece is shaped by hand, with care and purpose.
It’s not just about looking beautiful.
It’s about feeling seen, even in your imperfections.
Inspired By Nature. And the Unfinished.
The natural world is my biggest inspiration, not just in form, but in philosophy. It reminds us that beauty doesn’t need symmetry or polish to feel whole.
Through every curve, texture, and stone, I hope to offer you pieces that reflect what’s real, and encourage you to embrace what’s real in yourself.
"All that is gold does not glitter; not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither; deep roots are not reached by the frost."
